Taylor Maly
I really like him and his poetry. He uses a lot of exaggeration which I feel makes the poem more interesting. It makes you want to keep listening so that style fits him pretty well. I liked his poem that was shown today. It was funny and its informative. I really like his poetry.

Slam Nation
I didn't know a lot about spoken word peotry before, so I found a lot of things interesting. Like the styles of the peoms and the way people said the poems. I thought it was really cool when the people did a collaborative poem and there were a lot of sound effects going on. Also on how you say the poem effects the mood and how the poem should be precieved. Like the Asian man who read a poem about Asian sterotypes it was meant to be funny but also serious at the same time. Like what he was saying had a deep meaning but the way he said it made it kind of humorus.

I Am!
I Am!
by John Clare
I am! yet what I am none cares or knows,My friends forsake me like a memory lost;
I am the self-consumer of my woes,
They rise and vanish in oblivious host,
Like shades in love and death's oblivion lost;
And yet I am! and live with shadows tost
Into the nothingness of scorn and noise,
Into the living sea of waking dreams,
Where there is neither sense of life nor joys,
But the vast shipwreck of my life's esteems;
And e'en the dearest—that I loved the best—
Are strange—nay, rather stranger than the rest.
I long for scenes where man has never trod;
A place where woman never smil'd or wept;
There to abide with my creator, God,
And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept:
Untroubling and untroubled where I lie;
The grass below—above the vaulted sky.

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Bat!
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Bat!
" -- -- it was at the great concert given by the
Queen of Hearts, and I had to sing
`Twinkle, twinkle, little bat!
How I wonder what you're at!'You know the song, perhaps?" "I've heard something like it," said Alice. "It goes on, you know," the Hatter continued,
"in this way: -- --
`Up above the world you fly,
Like a teatray in the sky.
Twinkle, twinkle --'"

Poem :)
Dreamland
by Lewis Carroll
When midnight mists are creeping, And all the land is sleeping, Around me tread the mighty dead, And slowly pass away. Lo, warriors, saints, and sages, From out the vanished ages, With solemn pace and reverend face Appear and pass away. The blaze of noonday splendour, The twilight soft and tender, May charm the eye: yet they shall die, Shall die and pass away. But here, in Dreamland's centre, No spoiler's hand may enter, These visions fair, this radiance rare, Shall never pass away. I see the shadows falling, The forms of old recalling; Around me tread the mighty dead, And slowly pass away.

Fine Day
Fine Day
By: K♥iti J♥y
Daisies dancing in the grass.
Wind singing with the tree's.
The sun smiling on the roof tops.
Clouds starting to cry.
The sky begins to crackle.
Everything turns dark.
Birds grow silent.
Then you could hear a pin drop.
Favorite Line Poem
Feel the walls for a light switch
It has floated away down a dark mythological river
Whose name begins with an L as far as you can recall
I suffer I have held my pain so long
You do not hear my inner cry?
The only other sound’s the sweep of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.
Never mind, I was ready. I will manage somehow.
Today I have so much to do: I must kill memory once and for all, I must turn my soul to stone, I must learn to live again.
